智能产品开发与应用：三星730MW宽屏液晶电视显示器使用报告
随着液晶显示屏技术的不断成熟与成本的不断下降，市场上开始涌现出越来越多的大屏幕液晶电视。又由于液晶显示屏的诸多优点，它们很大程度上又可以同时充当电脑显示器的角色。今天我们将向大家介绍一款韩国业界巨子三星的一款宽屏液晶电视/显示器产品，SyncMaster 730MW。
事实上有时候很难归类这种新的液晶电视/显示器产品。它们到底应该属于家庭娱乐设备还是电脑显示设备呢？就三星730MW来说，我认为称它为一款宽屏液晶电视机可能更确切。这款三星SyncMaster 730MW事实上是其不久前推出的730MP的宽屏版。liquid crystal television with a TV tuner, SyncMaster 730MW also has an analog TV tuner and a remote control, of course it has two speakers on the sides. The speaker system is silver, which looks very harmonious with the black main unit.
The stand of SyncMaster 730MW supports a small amount of backward or forward tilt because its vertical viewing angle is not ideal. So you have to spend some thought on positioning it - neither too high nor too low. If the angle is not optimal in the vertical direction, there will be color deviation; in the horizontal direction, it will seem that the contrast ratio is somewhat insufficient.
Its stand is detachable. After disassembling it, you can hang the 730MW on the wall because it has "video electronics standards association (VESA)" installation holes with a diameter of 75mm. Because its stand is low and has limited upward tilt angle, I think when used as a computer monitor, it may be inconvenient.
Unlike its predecessor 730MP, Samsung removed WiseVIEW card from 730MW. This technology was one of the main selling points for monitors with a 4:3 aspect ratio screen display. It's regrettable but perhaps Samsung did this to reduce costs - after all SyncMaster 730MW's price tag is lower than that of SyncMaster MP-9300XW Monitor Series Wide Screen Monitor . And from market feedbacks look like Samsung's move was quite successful.
Samsung SyncMaster MW provides enough interfaces for PC and corresponding DVD player DVI interface and PC-specific D-Sub interface; SCART port supporting RGB; RCA connection port S-video input port etc.. As liquid crystal television machine ,it naturally also comes equipped with an RF input terminal for terrestrial broadcasting signals as well as FM radio input terminal . However ,unfortunately ,it does not come equipped with digital TV tuner .
Randomly provided remote control seems ordinary without any special features . There are no shortcut keys to directly select inputs so you have to keep switching until you find what you need .
In terms of specifications ,the Korean version and British version differ slightly . Its claimed resolution for example at1280 x1024 pixels doesn't make sense either . Additionally ,its brightness at400 candelas against contrast ratio at500:1 response time at25 milliseconds are just fine .
We tested image display quality by connecting one PC via DVI cable . The picture quality displayed by this device appears sharp vivid colorful accurate though default colors lean towards blue slightly however these settings can be adjusted within menu options ("Internet" mode,"Text" mode,"Custom" mode & "Entertainment"). In "Entertainment" mode pictures appear extremely bright while contrast ratios are impressive as well
