在一个阳光明媚的下午，学校的大门缓缓打开，一位年轻的学生小明带着书包和满怀期待的心情走了进来。他的目的是去找他的老师——教授，这位老者不仅是他的导师，更是他心中的偶像。
小明来到了教授办公室，敲了敲门，然后轻轻推开，看到教授正坐在桌前写作业，小明有些紧张，但也很高兴，因为这意味着教授有空给他解答疑惑。小明走过去，对着桌子微微鞠了一躬：“老师，我来了。”
Professor looked up from his work, a hint of surprise in his eyes. “Oh, it's you,” he said with a smile. “What brings you here today?” He asked as he gestured for Little Ming to take a seat.
Little Ming sat down on the chair in front of Professor's desk, fidgeting nervously with his hands. “I-I came to ask for your help,” he stuttered.
Professor leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together thoughtfully. “Of course,” he said after a moment's pause. “But before we begin, I must say that I find your choice of seating quite... interesting.”
He chuckled softly and continued, “It seems you've found yourself sitting on my cane.” His eyes twinkled with amusement as he took another look at the scene before him: Little Ming perched on the end of Professor’s wooden cane, which had been left leaning against the wall when they first entered.
The young student looked down at where he was sitting and felt a flush rise to his cheeks. He had indeed climbed up onto Professor’s walking stick without realizing it; but now that it was pointed out to him, it seemed rather silly.
Professor cleared his throat gently and began again more seriously this time: "So tell me what is troubling you."
